La Casina Rodiani is a low environmental impact accommodation structure founded in 2011 following the renovation of an old farmhouse dating back to the late 1600s. The farmhouse is located on the top of the mountain of Drezzo, 460 m.s.l.m., where it enjoys a splendid panorama from hilly to sunset. The Cascina, an old colonial house of the late 1600’s, situated on the hills of Parco Spina Verde of Como, at 460m above the see level, enjoys beautiful panoramic views from dawn to sunset. The large park that surrounds the property, is characterized by “ronchi” or terraces, once designed to promote agriculture and now occupied by the woods, strtching from east to west from the olive grove, to the orchard and the vegetable garden, from the greenhouse, to the garden and

the various terraces where you can relax amongst nature. In this protected area, the Cascina Rodiani is the perfect place for visiting the wonders of our region, both as a restoring stop on a long journey, or a longer stay. The indipendent entrance to the rooms offers maximum privacy and the breakfast, served at the table and freshly made every morning, give you the genuine tast of natural and sustainable products. Easy to reach from the airport of Milan-Malpensa, the motorwat E35 Amsterdam-Rome and the trains station of Como (15 minutes), and Chiasso CH (10 minutes). Care for details and original solutions, complemented by a profound respect for the environment, can be easily seen in the low-impact installations, such as the phytodepuration system, the biomass and solar heating system, the LED/ fluorescent lighting system and the recycle of wood. The owners are always available to provide information about the territory and local events. The rooms on the ground floor are equipped for disabled people.

Cascina Rodiani, an ancient farmhouse of XVII century, has been recently refurbished and is particularly dedicated to the preservation of the environment. As a matter of fact, the facility has a low environmental impact and the owners have put some extra care in preserving the old farmhouse style and in using the appropriate materials to furnish the 5 bedrooms, the living room (which was once the old stall) and the entertainment room, which was once the old barn.
In the 3 ha.of land, guests can enjoy relaxing walks among the fruit trees, the olive trees or inside the chestnut wood. A Wi-Fi connection is available for free, but there is no TV inside.

Breakfast is served with organic and fair-trade products, either local or produced internally. It is served in the living room in front of the fireplace or under the portico under the morning sun. The atmosphere is always courteous and private.

The farmhouse is located up a hill of the Regional Natural Park of Spina Verde di Como, and has a wonderful view. It is possible to have relaxing walks or cycle tours on the park’s trails, which lead to many places of interest. It is also possible to take the car and reach Lario (Lake of Como) in 15 minutes, or Ceresio (lake of Lugano). Como, Lugano and Varese are the closest cities, while Milano is 45 minutes away and the border with Switzerland is reachable in 2 hours.
Other naturalistic places to visit are the Park of Gole della Breggia (10 mins), Mount San Giorgio (UNESCO heritage) (15 mins). Within very short walking distance, is the Sanctuary of Drezzo (2 mins. walking).
