The newly acquired ‘EY Spotmentor’ is a software-as-a service-based skill, learning, and career platform that can be installed across the value chain of an organization. It has been a year since EY is working with Spotmentor Technology Team. This association has helped them by equipping their clients with the right skill sets. Spotmentor was founded in 2016, by Yash Pal, Arpit Goyal, Sekhar Suman and Deepak Singh, to focus on government, enterprises, and industry entities and help them identify the areas that require skilling and then help bridge the gap through intensive personalised learning. Now, EY Spotmentor, will fan out across the company’s value chain.
EY India, the local arm of the multinational professional services firm, has acquired end-to-end skilling platform Spotmentor Technologies.
In a statement, EY India said the acquisition will help strengthen its advisory portfolio, which provides digital services to help businesses with their skilling and learning needs.
The two companies did not disclose the financial details of the transaction.
Gurugram-based Spotmentor Technologies was set up by Deepak Singh, Arpit Goyal, Shekhar Suman, and Yash Pal Mittal. Its platform helps businesses identify skills as well upskill and reskill employees at scale.
“The acquisition of Spotmentor Technologies will boost our digital offerings, combining our strengths in strategic people consulting and seasoned experience in learning and skills development, now delivered to clients through an intelligent technology platform,” EY India partner and consulting leader Rohan Sachdev said.
Following this acquisition, Spotmentor will be rebranded to EY Spotmentor. It will now operate on a software-as-a-service-based skills, learning and careers platform that will include features such as real-time market intelligence on new skill sets and the curation of hyper-personalised learning pathways.

The move is in line with EY’s strategy of adding to its digital capabilities in India to help organisations address their end-to-end business transformation challenges.
EY provides a range of services including transactions, advisory and accounting. It targets several sectors including health, oil and gas, technology, life sciences and power and utilities.
In July last year, it acquired customer relationship management solutions provider C Centric Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
